SCUM 2018 - CLR Round 6 Match Report

A 4-4 draw against Narrabundah, this game had everything. The only thing missing was a red card (Dash, you should’ve waited a week). ANU went 2-0 up, the second courtesy of the biggest miskick Jordy will ever do, yet probably the best assist he will ever get in his career. 'Bundah then answered with three consecutive goals, one of which was a penalty, to go 3-2 up.
If there ever was a case for VAR in Capital Football, then we don’t want to hear about it, as a classic goal-line scramble ensured ANU equalised late into the second half.

The most controversial moment of the game then followed
(not including when ‘bundah’s captain accused the linesman of being a cheat for correctly signalling for offside). Rowan performed his best Arsene Wenger at the Emirates impression by claiming he “didn’t hear” the calls to put the ball out of play for ‘bundah’s injured striker. Instead, he chose to score a goal.

Another equaliser followed from ‘bundah, to ensure the game ended all-square. I don’t believe anyone has ever wanted to celebrate a draw as much as Isaac wanted to, but we managed to convince him we should only sing the song after wins.
